Daniel Barter Photography on Facebook My Website Gym, Military Complex, Germany, 2014 "Krampnitz Kaserne was a huge military complex, in Potsdam, created by the Germans during the rearmament period. It was used by the Nazis until the end of the Second World War. After the war it was used by Soviet troops until its abandonment in 1992." http://flic.kr/p/pYWa2U

The best view in the old ore-processing plant. On the upper level to the right are the magnetic separators I've posted photos of. On the lower level to the left are the rolling washer drums. These machines on this level are some sort of crusher to make evenly sized kibble out of the ore that has been separated. http://flic.kr/p/pVBsPy

Early morning light illuminates a tableau of rusting industrial history. I'd been to this old ore processing plant a few times in the afternoon in the cooler months, and the light was harsh and glaring. Early on a warm spring morning, the light is superb. http://flic.kr/p/qM6L2Y

Georgetown Steamplant, Seattle, WA. http://flic.kr/p/qJjzHs

On the last day of our exciting and tiring 6 day trip through Italy, we visited an abandoned ceramic factory. An easy and relaxed explore, except for the heat. 37 degrees Celsius is no temperature to go out and explore abandoned factories. But i'm not complaining, this was a beautiful place to be at. http://flic.kr/p/qtq81g

The inner workings at the old boiler house. Because so much skin is removed off this place, you can see a lot of what's normally hidden in a boiler house but you get a lot of bright highlights in the photo. http://flic.kr/p/pLMF5Z
